Another view on growth . . . And Strip Centers

I am disturbed by what I perceive as overgrowth of strip centers in Missouri City. So many have popped up in the last year or more and remain empty, yet more are being developed. STOP. We are going to look like parts of Houston soon. The one across from Kroger is half empty, the one in next to the new putt putt center IS empty, the ones across, next to and behind LA Fitness are mostly empty. AND it appears that more boxes are being built where Hollywood Video is going. Missouri City has enough empty boxes along Cartwright and Texas Parkway.

 

I imagine the city is not saying NO because it is "growth" or a tax base, even though these boxes are empty. IF the city would allow the developers to wait we may have more that look nice like the center where Brookstreet Bar-b-Q is rather than more ugly ones that the city has plenty of.
